Child labour explained

by: Wild link

Children are working 12-16 hours with sometimes no payment which is ridiculous. There are 152 million child labourers in the world today.

That’s nearly 10% of the world’s children over the age of 5. There are 168 million children worldwide trapped in child labor, accounting for almost 11 percent of the overall child population: 100 million boys and 68 million girls. Around half are engaged in hazardous work.

Canadians don’t realize how many of the products they buy involve child labour.

Also we can help the cause of child labour if we all stand up for ourselves and all the other child labourers, and if everyone comes together we can help fight and even put an end to child labour.

Child labour happens in Africa, India, USA, Aisa, Canada, Pakistan, Sudan. In these countries child labour can be found in farms, factories, fields and sometimes even mines.
